Le programme d’approfondissement culturel et linguistique en anglais (britannique) publié au Bulletin officiel de l’éducation nationale, de la jeunesse et des sports n° 10 du 10-03-2022, précise qu’un programme littéraire limitatif est publié et partiellement renouvelé périodiquement.

Le programme littéraire limitatif de l’enseignement d’approfondissement culturel et linguistique en anglais (britannique) se compose d’œuvres complètes, de mouvements et/ou de thèmes littéraires ainsi que de pièces de théâtre de Shakespeare. Six œuvres de ce programme limitatif, trois pour l’épreuve écrite et trois pour le mouvement ou thème littéraire choisi pour l’épreuve orale, doivent être étudiées pendant le cycle terminal. Le programme limitatif pour la session 2024 du baccalauréat est défini ci-après.
Session 2024

Pour la session 2024 de l’épreuve écrite, le programme limitatif se compose d’une pièce de théâtre de Shakespeare obligatoire parmi les deux œuvres au choix :

• The Taming of the Shrew (New Cambridge edition) ;
• Antony and Cleopatra (New Cambridge edition) ;

et de deux œuvres relevant chacune d’un genre différent (théâtre, roman, poésie) et choisies dans la liste ci-après :

Pour la session 2024 de l’épreuve orale, le programme limitatif se compose de l’étude d’un mouvement ou d’un thème littéraire au choix parmi les deux proposés « Gothic Writing » et « Post-war Writing of the 1950s and 1960s ». Chaque mouvement ou thème littéraire est illustré par six poèmes obligatoires ainsi que par d’autres œuvres dont deux sont obligatoires.
